One of the major problems in this novel was when he was flying over to his dads house and the plane crashed, so he has to survive in the forest alone until someone finds him. Brian survived because he was smart, he used a shoelace to make a bow and arrow, he made a fire with his hatchet and his 20 $ bill without any matches. Brian learned how to get his head right, staying positive all the time, this is important because when you have a positive attitude you are more creative and more aware of things. Another reason why he survived so long was because he had a hatchet, which saved his life, with it he made fires with it, he created spears and arrows with it to hunt for food. This problem was solved when someone found him after 54 days of surviving alone in the forest.
How do you think he would survive without his hatchet?
I think that Brian would not survive without his hatchet. His hatchet helped him to start a fire and a fire is key to survival. With out his hatchet he would have died.
ReplyDeleteHis hatchet was a vary helpful tool and i think with out it he wouldn't have not lived as long and probably would have died.
ReplyDeleteif he did not have is hatchet with him i don't think he would of lasted that long because he survived on ways he could use is hatchet
ReplyDeleteThe hatchet was very useful for his survival , I think If he didn't have it that he wouldn't last anywhere close to 54 days in the forest. Without it, warmth and food would of been a much harder thing to get.
ReplyDeleteWithout a hatchet i think he would have died much earlier, you need a hatchet in the wilderness for food and fire.
